Cabling

Cabling is the instillation of a cable between two opposing leads or trunks to support the crotch below the cable where the two join. This process can also include the installation of a cable between a lead and a limb to support that limb. The extra support cabling provides decreases the likelihood of trees and large branches falling during high winds.
